From the news reported by AFP (2014), Israel said it would refuse any long-term truce that had been satisfying its security needs, whilst Gaza ceasefire talks resumed in Cairo yesterday. The conflict could be simply explained as Israel would not agreeto reach any long-term agreements with Gaza as long as it felt the national security safety would be threatened.
The two interest groups involved in this battle – Israel and Gaza had actually entered a dead end in this dialog. On one hand, Israel believed they are fighting with Gaza because it believed its national security safety being threatened; therefore Israeldenied the needs for casing fire within the battlefield. On the other hand, if Israel does not sign long-term agreements with Gaza, the war would still continue and eventually there would be no winners for both the two countries.
Today’s world is filled with national violence and terrorists, many of the national governments are planning fighting wars to acquire different types of benefits such as the national security from Israel’s perspective. However, war shall never be started, and the current world needs peace. I had watched many videos that describing thepathetic lives led by the civilians, from such videos I know there were actually no winners in the wars – although winner could acquire some benefits, the damagescaused on the national lands, the money that had spent to support the war, as well as the poor civilians, should all become the negative impacts of wars.
Therefore, as mentioned by The Australian (2014) Abbott considered Australia is ready for more Iraq work. This decision should be respected, because from my perspective, our country is now trying to contribute to peace in the world by providing necessary assistant for Iraq, therefore such proposal shall be considered carefully by the others.
